The OVO 2016 editorial is fronted by Ian Connor, who is also spearheading the return of Kanye’s long lost clothing line, Pastelle. He is pictured on the front with Playboi Carti, and John Ross, who are sporting slightly oversized, classic, collegiate sweaters bearing the the word “OCTOBER” across the front.
Polos with the OVO owl, a variety of sweats, and jumpsuits are also worn in the lookbook. The designs are overwhelmingly simple, with the most complex of the items featuring blocked stripes, but every outfit contributes to the early 2000s street style to which many rappers took a liking.
From day one OVO seemed to be more than just a record label, and with time the vision of Drake and Oliver El-Khatib has expanded. The brand now operates in many industries, as they have a radio show, and are rapidly expanding into fashion. Thus far, OVO has done collaborations with powerhouses like Jordan, Mitchell & Ness, and even the Toronto Raptors.
Summer 16 is going to be huge for OVO, and this is just the latest of their releases. Check out the full lookbook on their website, and stay tuned because it looks like they’ve got a lot in store for the rest of the summer.
