Earlier today a new Air Jordan 1 colorway emerged. The new colorway pays tribute to the sneaker that Michael Jordan wore during his Rookie of the Year season in 1985. The pair, dubbed “Homage to Home,” features a mash up of two classic Air Jordan 1 colorways that’ll be exclusive to those in the city of Chicago.
Fusing together the Banned and Chicago iterations, Jordan Brand creates an eye-catching silhouette that splits right down the middle of each shoe. With the outer side panels of the sneakers dressed in red and black, the inner side features a white and red make up to complete the look. The Jordan Wing logo is still included on each of the outer panels while the midsole of both sneakers is dipped in a white hue followed by a gym red outsole.
Like we mentioned earlier, the Air Jordan 1 Homage to Home will serve as an exclusive release to the city of Chicago. The sneaker launches at Jordan retailers in the Windy City for $160, and is expected to only be available in limited quantities.
