H&M Picks Kenzo as its Next Designer Collaboration

Every year, H&M partners with a luxury designer brand to create an affordable line of clothing and accessories. French fashion house Kenzo designers, Carol Lim and Humberto Leon have been selected as H&M’s 2016 designer collaborators. The two not only serve as Kenzo’s creative directors, but also host their own label, Opening Ceremony. The resulting collection of men’s and women’s clothing and accessories will debut at a mid-October show and be available for purchase in 250 H&M stores around the world and online at H&M’s site on November 3.

Last year’s partnership featured Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing, who recently worked with Nike on a stunning collection. The Balmain H&M show was displayed at a New York Party that featured the Backstreet Boys. While Balmain’s designs were more glamorous and high-fashion like, H&M’s lead designer, Ann-Sofie Johansson promises that the Kenzo collab will be “vibrant, young, and fun.”

Knowing Kenzo, you can expect intricate and fun graphics with incredible color pop and if Opening Ceremony’s newer designs have any indication, Lim and Leon are going to impress us. Thus, at H&M prices, these pieces will sell out instantly and we at Nous wish you the best of luck getting your hands on them.
