Last week, at Majid Jordan’s show in Toronto, Drake revealed that he had plans of dropping a single. That night the Toronto-based rapper abruptly dropped “Nice for What” with an accompanying music video.
Shorty after dropping the track on Apple Music, the 6 God unveiled a cinematic visual for the Murda Beatz produced bouncy track samples Lauryn Hill‘s “Ex-Factor.”
“Ex-Factor” comes off of her 1998 album, The Miseducaton of Lauryn Hill which only adds to the breadth of the songs message which is an homage to strong women around the world.
For the music video, Drake recruited a list of female stars that embody the strong feminine attitude he raps about on the track. The beautiful cast includes the likes of Olivia Wilde, Misty Copeland, Issa Rae, Rashida Jones, Jourdan Dunn, Tracee Ellis Ross, Tiffany Haddish, Yara Shahidi, Zoe Saldana, Elizabeth Lejonhjarta, Victoria Lejonhjarta, Letitia Wright, Bria Vinaite, Emma Roberts, Syd and Michelle Rodriguez.
Scenes of these ladies dominate the visual with brief cuts of Drake vibing out to his track laced in for creative interjection effect.
